About Tim

The Story Of

Tim Sawtelle

Tim Sawtelle’s life has been a journey of creativity and leadership, driven by a passion for helping others grow into their full potential—whether in technology, aviation, ministry, live video production, or education.

As a software engineer, Tim designed and programmed robotic equipment, diving deep into problem-solving and innovation. Later, he became an air traffic controller at a major Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC), helping control and support the safe operations of over 2.1 million aircraft each year—including military, commercial, and general aviation flights (and even working Air Force One a few times).

Tim eventually moved into full-time ministry, serving as a video director at a large multi-campus church, where he built volunteer teams and created training resources to equip others. He also taught live production courses as an adjunct professor at The King’s University, sharing his experience with worship and media students. A teacher at heart, Tim has a genuine love for encouraging others to grow in their gifts.

Now retired, he enjoys peaceful writing days and has published several books—with more still on the way. He lives in Arkansas with his wife, Sherri, where they look forward to their country drives, sweet family time, and the joy of grandparent life.
